It is possible for internal research to be devised within practices or together with similar practices. Through the website there are communication possibilities that have been made available. This includes newsletters and constant access to the network. Research and new ideas with regards to application possibilities are highly appreciated. If we, as the networking organisation, can help with this research in any way, we would be happy to help. Please see our contact information if you wish to contact us.
Research results will be mentioned in the library (knowledge bank) that is only accessible with a log in code. The eventual goal is to publicise articles in journals invaluable to this sector, such as Spine. By now many different internal researches have been performed, and can be found in the library.
In the final years of the ‘90s, a few scientists conducted a research into intrinsic lumbar muscle coordination and the lack of it. They looked into the consequences of lacking intrinsic coordination and what therapists can do about it and how. Professor Peter O’Sullivan and Professor Wim Dankaerts have been an inspiration for Veldhoven and Don, in realising the TBT and other researches in similar fields.
In the year 2010, three universities in Belgium, England and Ireland have become involved with more in-depth research on the effects of using TBT, the FlexChair® and other measurement and training equipment that is currently being used. Within the network, more than 15,000 tests have been done, which gives a “golden standard” in regards to the measurement values and the assessment done via graphics.
